Our congregation is now more than 80 families strong, but this has not always been the case. Fountain Inn The first families moved to Greenville in the early 1980’s, and as there was no church at the time, they gathered in their homes to pray. When the group became a little larger, they were blessed with being able to rent St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in downtown Greenville; since then, we have always been grateful to the community at St. George’s. As the group continued to grow, God blessed us once again with the opportunity to purchase and renovate a small church in Fountain Inn (SC), in which we have prayed for approximately the last 10 years.

More recently, God has truly blessed us once again with the funds to build a new church in the traditional style of Coptic churches in Mauldin, SC. The construction of the new church began in August, 2001 and took approx. 1 and half years to finish. The upper level was finished first, then the lower level was finished slowly. On the upper floor of the new Church is the main sanctuary, which seats up to 300 people, and on the lower level is the fellowship hall, Sunday School classrooms and smaller chapel. Based on Coptic tradition, the church is in the shape of a cross, with one large dome over the altar and two steeples on either side of the main entrance.
